Google to Donate $100K for Computer Science and STEM Programs
October 7, 2019

Google announced at their groundbreaking event on October 4 that they are giving Springfield Platteview Community Schools a $100,000 grant to support continued growth and development of computer science and STEM programs.

Superintendent Brett Richards made the official announcement at the event, thanking Google for supporting our school district and our community.

"We take quality education and the success of our students seriously. Eight years ago, we were one of the first school districts in the area to create a one to one learning initiative for all of our students. We know that technology is crucial to our students future success! We are very appreciative of this generous gift and look forward to working with Google’s team and expertise in making these programs some of the best in Nebraska,” said Richards.

At Springfield Platteview Community Schools, we value the relationships with area businesses, and we hope that this is the beginning of a long and successful partnership.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Google!
